$30,000 First Home Owners Grant Extended
Great news for first home buyers! The Queensland Government has extended the $30,000 First Home Owners Grant until 30 June, 2026.
That means eligible buyers now have an extra 12-months to take advantage of this incredible boost when building a new home. If you have been thinking about building at The Avenues of Highfields, limited lots remain with the demand for titled land remaining high. Securing your block now ensures peace of mind as the deadline approaches.
The grant offers more than just financial support—it can be a real game-changer when it comes to getting started. Here’s how you can put it to work when building your first home:
- Land purchase costs: Use the grant to help secure your block within our estate.
- Construction costs: Put it toward your builder contract, including the base build and inclusions.
- Site works: Cover essential early-stage expenses like earthworks, retaining walls, and levelling.
- Utility connections: Assist with connecting power, water, sewerage, and NBN to your home.
- Driveways and paths: Support the cost of external finishes beyond your base build.
- Landscaping and fencing: Complete your home with functional and attractive outdoor spaces.
- Essential upgrades: Add practical features like flooring, air-conditioning, or energy-efficient appliances.
- Loan deposit support: Some lenders allow the grant to contribute toward your home loan deposit.
To remain eligible for the grant, the home must be your principal place of residence within one year of completion, and you must reside there continuously for a minimum of six months.
