$5.5 Million Upgrade Enhances Safety on the New England Highway and into The Avenues of Highfields
The Avenues of Highfields has completed a $5.5 million upgrade to the intersection at Cronin Road and the New England Highway, delivering safer and more efficient access for residents, commuters, and the wider community.
Fully funded by The Avenues of Highfields, the project introduced a suite of major safety improvements, including new traffic lights, widened lanes, upgraded pedestrian and cyclist pathways, and enhanced street lighting. These enhancements are already making a noticeable difference for both local residents and the thousands of motorists who rely on this busy highway every day.
“These works reflect our ongoing commitment to creating not just a residential community, but a safer and more connected Highfields,” said Project Director Stephen Bowers. “The response to The Avenues has been outstanding, with our current stage nearly sold out, with just one lot remaining and demand continuing to grow. By investing in vital infrastructure like this upgrade, we’re ensuring our residents enjoy both peace of mind and an exceptional lifestyle for years to come.”
Previously a high-traffic zone and safety concern during peak commuting times, the Cronin Road intersection is now safer, easier to navigate, and better lit for all road users.
The upgrade forms part of our broader vision to deliver an award-winning residential estate backed by first-class infrastructure and a commitment to the wider Highfields community.
With the current release nearly sold out, registrations are now open for the next stage, set to be released later this year.
