Queensland Government announces a new round of grants, saving eligible first homeowners up to $45,000 off the price of a new build.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has just announced a new $5,000 regional home building boost grant for any newly built home outside of Southeast Queensland. The grant will come on top of the existing $15,000 first homeowners grant, which is also being extended.

The Regional Home Builder Grant will be in addition to the Home Builder Grant ($25,000) and the First Home Buyers Grant ($15,000). This will mean that first home buyers in regional Queensland could be eligible to receive a grant of up to $45,000 for a newly built home.

To be eligible for the additional $5,000 regional home builder grant, you or your spouse must not have received a previous regional home building boost grant and the value of the home including the land has to be less than $750,000.

Those who do not qualify as first home buyers are still entitled to save up to $25,000 with the Federal Governments Home Builder Grant.
