Highfields has been given the tick of approval with recent results crowning our beloved suburb a rating of 85%, after evaluating categories such as community, tranquillity, family, lifestyle, housing prices and crime rate.
There’s no wonder why 58% of residents in Highfields choose to reside long term, with the neighbourhood being given a 10 out of 10 score under the criteria of community.
The community holds an abundance of sporting and social clubs and events, such as the Cabarlah Markets held on the last Sunday of every month. The markets have been operating for over 25 years, offering food trucks, live entertainment and a wide variety of stalls including plants, fruit and vegetables, crafts, fresh meats and books. With free admission and plenty of parking, explore the wonders for Highfields and enjoy a tranquil drive to the Cabarlah Markets for breakfast from 7:30am until 12:30pm.
Followed closely behind, with a 9 out of 10 score was the family category. The results display Highfields as the suburb of choice for growing young families with 38% of the population being couples with children under the age of 15.
Highfields offer seventeen schools within a 10km radius, with majority of young residents attending Highfields State School, Mary Mackillop Catholic School and Toowoomba Christian College.
