With the new Federal Government’s Home Builder Grant, you may be eligible for up to $40,000 towards your new build.
The Federal Government is providing eligible Australians a $25,000 cash boost to build a new home, with first home buyers receiving the $25,000 ‘Home Builder’ grant on top of the standard $15,000 first homeowners grant. Giving eligible Australians up to $40,000 to build their new dream home. Contracts must be entered between 4 June and 31 December 2020 with construction works to commence within 3 months of contract signing.
Means testing will apply based on earnings from the previous financial year with singles earning up to $125,000 and couples up to $200,000 combined. The grant will only apply for new builds under the value of $750,000 which includes house and land costs.
