Stage 3 at The Avenues of Highfields Breaks Ground
OVERALL LAND SALES across the Toowoomba region have been down 50% since 2015. A lack of land sales in recent times has been namely attributed to the tightening of borrowing with the banks, as well as an oversupply of land in areas in which residents are lessor attracted to.
Notably – Highfields continues to grow, welcoming an incredible number of new residents in the last 5 years. As a thriving and growing urban hub of the region, it is projected the area will welcome an additional 7,000 residents calling Highfields home by 2031.
One of the areas estates, The Avenues of Highfields turns dirt on its 3rd stage in late 2019, releasing another 12 lots ranging up to 767m2.
“The Highfields area has such a rich history, partnered with an exciting future – making it the perfect location for singles, couples, families and retirees to invest or re-invest” The Avenues of Highfields Project Director Stephen Bowers said.
“Commencing works on Stage 3 is momentous for us. We are excited to be moving onto our next stage with our residual stock in our previous stages selling very quickly after this year’s Federal election and subsequent banking reform” Mr Bowers added.
Working on the project with the team at The Avenues will be local construction company Hutchinson’s Builders.
“We are thrilled to be joining The Avenues team again for yet another stage release of the development” Project Supervisor Matt Dawson of Hutchinson’s Builders said.
“We’ve experienced a consistent flow of land subdivision work in the local region of late which has been appreciated and very much a sign of the local economic state” Mr Dawson added.
With interest in land sales rising since the most recent Federal election and the borrowing market becoming even more accessible to a wider array of candidates, uptake of land acquisitions across the region is expected to continue in a positive upswing.
Stage 3 lots at The Avenues of Highfields will be completed in February 2020.
